The moment you doubt whether you can fly, you cease forever to be able to do it.

Building The Story

Collaborative working in its truest form, each paragraph of this article was crafted by a different member of The Church of London editorial team, in an expression of the brief: An Improvised History of Improvisation.

A refreshing zine format that relies heavily on research and a higher perspective, this unique concept piece looks deep into subcultures that toy with our expectations; going as far and wide as bebop jazz, abstract expressionism, punk culture, street skateboarding and surf dance.

My particular clause was on performance magic and its inherent trust in a temporary psychological suspension of reality, focusing on the ancient development of the inner circle and our modern obsession with exposing it.
