Casting A Crest

A short film about a heraldic project, with Tom Young making a crest from London Clay, commissioned by Glyphics for the NCA. Featuring Jak Blackman, we follow the process of taking silicone moulds from sculptures and casting them in fibreglass to create a final model.

Tom Young’s home is like his work – hand designed and hand carved. Enter through a rusty metal door tucked under a fishmongers sign, and step behind the neat brick facade into the world of chaos and creativity that is his studio.

Bending Neon

For decades now, neon signs have lit up every corner of urban life – and their appeal does not dim. Glyphics’ neon specialist, Jaison Staines, takes commissions and transforms them into beautiful original artworks, bringing that little bit of night club heat or jazz bar cool to client spaces. Here's how he does it...

Featuring the song 'Azophi' by Isaac Joel Karns.

Gilding Glass

Signmakers since 1985, it was only natural that Glyphics chose a vintage sign using traditional artisanal techniques to add some kerbside appeal to their Shoreditch shop front.

Watch for the full process of hand painting and gold leafing a fixed pane of glass, and pocket some handy tips along the way.
